Fertility Preservation: Safeguarding Your Reproductive Future in Timișoara

Fertility preservation involves the advanced cryopreservation of eggs, sperm, or embryos to maintain reproductive potential for the future. At Gynatal Clinic (Timișoara), we specialize in ultra-rapid vitrification techniques with survival rates exceeding 95%. Whether for personal choice (Social Freezing) or medical necessity (Onco-fertility), our ANT-accredited laboratory ensures your cells are stored in state-of-the-art Clean-Room conditions.

What is Fertility Preservation?

Fertility preservation is a proactive medical strategy that allows individuals to "stop time" regarding their biological clock. By using vitrification—a flash-freezing technology at -196°C—we protect reproductive cells from the natural aging process. This ensures that when you are ready to start a family, your cells retain the biological quality they had at the time of freezing.

Why Consider Freezing Your Fertility?

Reproductive potential is dynamic and can be influenced by lifestyle, age, and medical history. At Gynatal, we guide patients through two main pathways:

1. Social Freezing (Planned Preservation)

Many women today choose to prioritize career, education or personal developmentbefore motherhood. Since egg quality and quantity decline significantly after age 35, freezing eggs at a younger age (ideally before 35) acts as a "biological insurance policy".

2. Medical and Onco-Fertility

Certain medical conditions and treatments can compromise fertility:

  • Cancer Treatment: Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are often toxic to ovaries and testes. We offer fast-track protocols for oncology patients to ensure preservation happens before treatment begins.

  • Endometriosis: moderate to severe disease or repeated ovarian surgery that may reduce ovarian reserve

  • Family History: Early menopause or family history of Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI

  • Benign ovarian surgery: women undergoing ovarian cyct or endometrioma surgery may benefit from fertility preservation

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Does egg retrieval reduce my future fertility?

No. The eggs retrieved are those that your body would have naturally lost during that specific menstrual cycle.

Biological material can be stored for many years—even decades—without any decline in quality.

Thanks to vitrification, over 95% of embryos and approximately 80-90% of oocytes survive the thawing process intact
